2007 Porsche Boxsters Add Power, Slight Price Increase

Porsche is the latest manufacturer to offer more content for slightly higher sticker prices with the 2007 Boxster and Boxster S roadsters. The Boxster S gets a new 3.4-liter engine that produces 15 more horsepower, up to 295 hp. And the base Boxster’s new 2.7-liter engine adds five more horsepower, totaling 245.

Both also receive a tire pressure monitoring system standard as well as some added service features. There are also new options like the Sport Chrono Package, but casual observers won’t notice much difference when they see a 2007 on the street later this year.

Pricing starts at $45,600 for the base Boxster, compared to $45,000 for the 2006 version. The 2007 Boxster S will start at $55,500, up from $54,700.

Perhaps I will reconsider the plans for a life and the purchase of Boxster S
